Located in Hirokawa-machi, Yame-gun, Fukuoka, our Kyushu Works recycles and effectively utilizes plastic waste generated during the filter manufacturing process to contribute to achieving the SDGs and realizing a sustainable society.

Recycling Chart

The Kyushu Works generates 6 to 8 tons of plastic waste per month. However, because this waste consists of post-filter processing scraps of various shapes and large volumes, transportation costs were prohibitive, preventing the recycling and effective utilization of all plastic waste.

With the recent introduction of a new volume reduction machine, all scrap can now be processed into block-shaped pieces. This enables us to provide all plastic scrap generated at the Kyushu Works to partner companies capable of Repelleting (※).

Repelletization

(※)Repelleting: Processing into pellet form for reuse. Note that all plastic scrap discharged from our company is 100% polypropylene repelleted.

The recycled plastic is reborn as amenities and automotive parts.

Moving forward, guided by the spirit of “Attaramonda(Mottainai),” we will continue our recycling efforts and waste reduction initiatives. We will also strive to further reduce our environmental impact through the use of environmentally conscious plastics.

Additionally, the plastic scrap generated by our company is characterized by its low additive content.
At Rokitechno, we aim to add further value to this resource and transform it into products that contribute more to society.
