We are sponsoring the “Lighting Up Schools in Developing Countries Project” to bring smiles to the faces of children around the world.

There are still 1.3 billion people in the world who live without electricity. Children in these areas are unable to attend school when the classrooms are darkened by dusk or rain.

To help these children who are studying in such an environment without electricity, we rented out the roof of ROKITECHNO Kyushu Works (Fukuoka Prefecture) as a place to install solar panels, and used the rent to install solar panels and light bulbs at an elementary school in the Republic of Benin (West Africa).

We hope that through our efforts, as many children as possible will be able to study in a better environment.

To see children around the world smile, we support activities of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) for drinking water and sanitation.

Still today, as many as 13,200 children a day, 4.8 million children a year, are losing their lives before they turn five years old around the world. This means that one child dies every seven seconds. One of the main reasons is diarrhea and other diseases caused by drinking contaminated water./p>

Our support helps to secure safe drinking water and provide relief supplies for save lives of children.

We donate to the “Gacha Gacha Project” run by Project Santa, a non-profit organization, to bring smiles to the faces of children battling illnesses.

In this project, Gacha Gacha is installed in hospitals to encourage children who are trying their best in treatment and rehabilitation. The idea was inspired by a story that nurses and childcare workers give small stickers and toys to children as rewards to soothe them and push them to do their best! This initiative was inspired by a story about a child who was told that he or she had to give a small sticker or toy as a reward.
We hope that children battling illnesses will recover as soon as possible.

We aim to bring peace of mind and smiles to local communities where our factories are located.

In the spread of COVID-19 in Japan, we donated 50million JPY in total to local governments (Toyama Pref., Kamiichi Town in Toyama, Namerikawa City in Toyama, Fukuoka Pref., and Hirokawa Town in Fukuoka) to support medical workers and related parties who engages in treating and preventing the spread of COVID-19 in Sep. 2021. We were awarded the Medal with Dark Blue Ribbon for our contribution to the public interests by Japanese Cabinet Office in September 2022.

We are working for the recovery of the areas affected by the disaster and for the people affected by the disaster to return to their normal lives as soon as possible.

We donated 5 million JPY to contribute to the reconstruction of Hirokawa town in Fukuoka Pref., which suffered extensive damage throughout the region as a result of record-breaking rainfall in July 2023.

We donated 10 million JPY to Toyama Prefecture, where our Hokuriku Plant, one of our production bases in Japan, is located, to support the areas affected by the Noto Peninsula Earthquake of 2024.

We endorsed the efforts of the “Toyama Pharmaceutical Valley Development Consortium ,” which aims to foster human resources active in the pharmaceutical industry and support research and practical application of seeds originating from academia, and made a donation to Toyama Prefecture (corporate version of hometown tax payment).
