The Driving Force Behind
ROKITECHNO’s Growth

We made our mark on the global market through the development of filters for magnetic coatings.

We were founded in December 1978, at a time when quality-driven manufacturing was just beginning to attract widespread attention.

In 1981, just three years after our founding, we successfully developed filter cartridges for magnetic coatings, an essential component in the production of magnetic tape. Our high-precision classifying filtration technology for removing impurities gained global recognition, allowing us to rapidly establish a dominant presence in the international market. This laid the foundation for our filter business and became the driving force behind our rapid growth.

Developing New Products to Meet the Ever-Evolving Demands of the Times

A revolutionary capsule filter inspired by feedback from the front lines.

In 1985, we began developing our original capsule-type filter to reduce the workload of front-line operators. The product was developed in stages and eventually launched. Ez-Change™ alleviated all the conventional issues at once—the cumbersome replacement process, liquid splattering, and cleaning difficulties.

It combined convenience and cleanliness, reducing the labor burden of replacement. It also aided in preserving the work environment and ensuring safety, which were areas of growing concern at the time. All of these led to its recognition as a groundbreaking filter cartridge.

To this day, we continue to develop products that meet the needs of the times, such as filters for pharmaceutical manufacturing processes to support the production and stable supply of domestically produced vaccines, a key national initiative.

From Domestic Market Leader to Global Player

We began in the Asian market, where we established a foothold for global expansion.

In July 2010, we established ROKITECHNO Singapore (now ROKI S&S Singapore) as a hub for conducting market research throughout Asia. We went on to establish offices in Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan, and the United States, and we now operate in five countries.

Advancements in our filtration technology have positioned us as a leading company in Japan’s industrial precision filter industry. We have also built solid business foundations around the world and continue to expand globally.

Superior Classifying Filtration Technology

Our proprietary classifying filtration technology separates solids and liquids, removing unwanted components from liquids while selectively retaining any necessary particles. This technology is both highly valued and essential in the manufacturing processes of smartphones and semiconductors. In 2006, in recognition of our achievements, we were selected by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry for inclusion in the Vibrant HABATAKU Small and Medium Enterprises 300 Program.

In manufacturing, we place the utmost importance on quality, which we categorize into three key elements: products, work, and employees. Each and every product undergoes strict inspections from multiple perspectives right up until the time of shipment, and we only allow those that have passed every inspection to be shipped out to customers.
We also ensure a stable supply of high-quality products through a production system that integrates every step from raw materials through to finished products.

At ROKITECHNO, we have established a structured educational system as a ‘place of learning’ to foster the growth of both our employees and the company.
Through our in-house university, Smile College, we provide a wide range of training programs—including tier-based education, common skill development, and specialized skill training—supporting the growth of each and every employee.

We provide a flexible leave system to aid employees in maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

To help our employees strike a healthy balance between work and their private lives, we have established a comprehensive holiday and leave system.

Annual paid leave is granted from the date of employment and can be taken in one-hour increments. Additionally, five days of work-life balance leave are granted annually for family caregiving or childcare purposes, which can be taken in 15-minute increments. Furthermore, in addition to these, we offer summer and year-end/New Year holidays, sick leave, company anniversary leave, birthday leave, and long-service leave, valuing our employees' quality of life. Other benefits and programs include the Smile Point system, where employees exchange points to express gratitude and appreciation for each other; a long-service award program; and an employee stock ownership plan that supports personal asset building.
